1912 For some weeks the matter of a County Fair and Livestock exhibit has been under discussion in Lubbock. It seems a hard matter, however, to get the proper interest aroused in the question. The first meeting was held and temporary organization went with the announcement that another meeting would be held the following Saturday to perfect the organization. A very small number of those who should be interested in the organization of a County Fair were present, and it was decided to postpone the meeting until next Saturday, when another attempt will be made to organize and elect a permanent organization.

This is a question of vital importance. It is too important to be treated in the way it has been the past two meetings. The business men should take an interest in it. It means much to them. It means much to the town and the Lubbock trade territory. It means development by an increase in the farming, stock raising and poultry industries. It means much more than the people of Lubbock seem to appreciate.
