Dr. Murphy said, "Work is to begin as soon as the necessary material can be placed on the ground, and some lumber has already been loaded there." It will take about sixty days to complete the building with good weather and no stops.
The building is to be 36 by 68 feet, two stories and a basement, built in modern style fully equipped in every department, will accommodate about 30 beds, it will be steam heated, lighted by gas and wired for electric lighting when a plant is installed.
"The operating rooms" said Dr. Murphy, "will be as complete as will be found in the state, though probably not so elaborate; complete sewage will be installed and everything to promote sanitary conditions will be well looked after."
"We would like it expressly understood that any and all practicing physicians of the state will be granted the privilege of bringing their patients to Lubbock Sanitarium and have absolute control of them while here.
